pējĕro, or, in the orig. form, perjūro (Vulg. Lev. 19, 12; id. Matt. 5, 33), and per-jĕro (Plaut. Trin. 1, 1, 9; id. Truc. 1, 1, 9), āvi, ātum, 1, v. n. [per-juro], to swear falsely, to forswear or perjure one's self.
